Research Transfer
AHFMR's Research Transfer Initiatives (RTI) promotes the use of research evidence in healthcare decision-making. Part of RTI, the Health Research Transfer Network of Alberta (RTNA) is a province-wide network that helps strengthen the use of research findings to improve health practices in Alberta.
Research Ethics
AHFMR's Research Ethics Initiative unit provides ethics review services for community-based researchers and assists health practitioners, researchers, and decision-makers with emerging ethics issues related to a range of knowledge generating projects (e.g., research, quality improvement, evaluation).

AHFMR's ForeFront Program provides education, mentorship, and funding to help translate research findings into successful products and services to improve the health of Albertans.
Performance Management
The Performance Management (PM) unit evaluates the effectiveness of AHFMR's programs in order to improve the foundations impact at provincial, national and international levels.
Communications
AHFMR Communications and Education unit engages with Albertans and people around the world through activities, events, publications, and educational programs to build awareness of the importance of health research and AHFMR’s leadership role in the field.
